I always thought Hallmark invented the Easter Egg Hunt, but I was wrong. It was Parents.
We invented the Easter Egg Hunt so we could be responsible for creating memories of Surprise (and Infinite) Candy for our kids, so when they grew up, they would pick up a packet of candy and remember how we used to hide candy in neon plastic eggs, so they would realize how much we loved them, so if it were, say, Mother’s or Father’s Day, ‘Darn it, I better head to Hallmark to get a card now.’
